What Agritourism Means to Us

According to the States' Agritourism Statutes in the state of Kentucky, agritourism in 247.800 and 247.810 is defined as "the act of visiting: (a) A farm or ranch; or (b) Any agricultural, horticultural, or agribusiness operation; for the purpose of enjoyment, education, or active involvement in the activities of the farm, ranch, or operation." These activities aren't limited to just harvesting or farm work. After re-building our farm after the tornado and receiving so many requests from friends and neighbors to host events, we realized that we wanted to share our farm with others. We decided to open our farm to the public for patrons to enjoy the scenic atmosphere of a working cow/calf operation. Thus began Honey Locust Farms, LLC's relationship with the community. We're at your service!
Thank you to everyone that attended the Farm to Table Dinner prior to the Kenton County Farm Tour on Saturday, September 14, 2019 which benefited the Kenton County 4-H Council. It was a huge success! Plan to join us this year on September 11, 2021 to do it again! For more information go the Kenton County Extension website https://kenton.ca.uky.edu/ for more information on extension programs and 4-H opportunities.
